SiRay Energy

Power for Mining and Construction Sites

Two sites that never stop moving. A mine pushes its face forward; a construction site finishes a stage and starts the next. Fixed infrastructure is written off before it is paid for - so the power plant should move too.

What Hurts on These Sites

  • Diesel is the largest controllable operating cost
  • Gensets are oversized for peak and idle most of the day
  • Load moves, but the cable does not
  • Dust, heat and altitude shorten equipment life
  • Fuel deliveries are a security and logistics problem

What SiRay Deploys

  • Containerized ESS

1.2 or 2.411 MWh, arrives wired, moves by truck.

    Containerized ESS
  • C&I cabinets

    GCB-E100 (112 kWh / 50 kW) or GCB-E240 (241 kWh / 125 kW) for fixed plant and camps.

    C&I Energy Storage
  • Mobile ESS

GMB-5000 for the crew that is working 500 m away today.

    GMB-5000 Mobile ESS
  • Solar PV

Daytime generation that displaces diesel directly.

  • EMS

Dispatch that keeps the genset in its efficient band.

What You Gain

  • Fewer genset hours, and every hour saved is fuel not burned
  • The battery covers the crusher start instead of a bigger genset
  • The battery carries the camp through a silent night shift
  • Equipment that moves when the face moves

Site Conditions We Design To

Operating range -20 to 50 ℃ on C&I cabinets, below 2000 m altitude, IP54.

Common Questions

What is peak shaving and how much can it save?

Peak shaving uses a battery to discharge during the site's highest-demand window and recharge when the tariff is low, which caps the monthly kW peak that drives the demand charge. A SiRay GCB-E100 (112.53 kWh at 50 kW) or GCB-E240 (241.15 kWh at 125 kW) performs this automatically through its integrated three-phase hybrid PCS. The saved amount depends on the load profile and tariff, so SiRay sizes from twelve months of interval load data.

Can a C&I storage cabinet be installed outdoors?

Yes. All three SiRay C&I cabinets are IP54 and designed for outdoor installation on a slab. The GCB-E100 measures 1200 x 803 x 2375 mm and weighs 1300 kg, operates from -20 to 50 ℃, below 2000 m altitude, and runs at 90% or higher system efficiency.

What does SiRay need to size a microgrid?

SiRay needs the site's load profile (what must run, at what power, for how long), the grid situation (no grid, weak grid or stable grid), the site location and solar resource, and any existing generation. From that data SiRay simulates PV yield, battery dispatch and fuel saved, then returns a quotation with a bill of materials.
